Sale of AMMB's insurance units to Great Eastern called off


KUALA LUMPUR: AMMB Holdings Bhd said the proposed disposal of its insurance business to Great Eastern has been terminated.

In a stock exchange filing, AMMB said it had come to a mutual agreement with MetLife and Great Eastern Holdings not to pursue the proposed sale of AmMetLife Insurance Bhd and AmMetLife Takaful Bhd to Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Bhd and Great Eastern Takaful Bhd.
