AZRB appoints new CEO and COO

PETALING JAYA: Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB) has appointed Wan Razali W Zulkifli and Wan Amir Hisyam Wan Zakariah as its chief executive officer and chief operating officer, respectively, effective Jan 15.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AZRB also announced the redesignation of Datuk Seri Wan Zakariah Wan Muda, from group managing director to executive vice chairman, with effect from the same date.

“Wan Razali (36) brings with him over 12 years of engineering and construction, operational and management experience across several geographies. He was formerly the executive director of operations at the group’s engineering and construction division, after serving many roles within the division’s operation over a period of seven years.”

Meanwhile, Wan Amir (33) was previously the senior manager under the AZRB concession division and was actively involved in various concession project proposals and project execution within the AZRB group.

“The board believes that both Wan Razali and Wan Amir, will bring a forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to enhance performance and productivity, by introducing new ideas, perspectives and skills for the group’s future growth,” the company said.
