Lebtech bags RM11mil waterworks job

PETALING JAYA: Lebtech Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Lebtech Construction Sdn Bhd (LCSB), has been selected to collaborate on various waterworks projects in Selangor, valued at RM10.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Lebtech said LCSB was selected by Affizal Resources (M) Sdn Bhd to undertake the waterworks projects.

Lebtech said works are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2025.

It expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending 2025.

For the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2024, Lebtech reported a net loss of RM33,000, compared with a net profit of RM246,000 in the previous corresponding period, mainly due to increase in construction cost and lower margin in projects at Setia Alam.

Cumulatively, pre-tax loss for the period stood at RM175,000 compared to a pre-tax profit of RM499,000 previously.
