EPF pares down YTL Power stake


PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of YTL Power International Bhd after disposing of 14.9 million shares.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, YTL Power said the pension fund disposed of 14.93 million shares on Dec 20, 2024.

The EPF holds a total of 412.12 million shares in YTL Power, or a 5.019% stake, according to YTL Power’s filing on Dec 18.

YTL Power reported an earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation of RM1.5bil for the financial quarter ended Sept 30, 2024 (1Q25), compared to RM1.9bil in 1Q24.

Its revenue for the quarter was RM5.68bil, down from RM6.31bil in 4Q24. Profit before tax stood at RM664.8mil for 1Q25 compared to RM1.14bil in the preceding quarter.
