HSS Engineers unit inks JV with OPUS International


KUALA LUMPUR: HSS Engineers Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary HSS Engineering Sdn Bhd has entered into a joint venture and shareholders' agreement with OPUS International (M) Bhd, a sub-subsidiary of UEM Edgenta Bhd, to provide engineering and technical services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, HSS Engineers said the principal activities of the joint venture company would be to provide engineering and project management consultancy and advice and other ancillary services relating to engineering and construction projects.

It would also provide assets management consultancy and advise and related services, and provide energy efficiency and sustainability-related services.

Under the agreement, HSS Engineering will have a 40% stake in the joint venture company while OPUS will own the majority 60%.

"This collaboration will leverage OPUS International's robust brand and its leadership in asset management to significantly enhance HSS Engineers' operational presence across national and global markets within the infrastructure and sustainability sectors.

"By further capitalising on the collective expertise of HSS Engineers and its subsidiaries and associates in engineering design and project management, this collaboration is designed to boost project delivery capabilities and drive growth in dynamic environments," said the group.
