ASM 3 declares RM837.89mil income distribution

KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) wholly-owned unit trust, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) has declared a total income distribution of RM837.89mil for Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 (ASM 3) for the financial year ending Sept 30.

In a statement, PNB said it declared a total income distribution of RM837.89mil benefitting 650,487 unitholders who currently own 17.64 billion units.

“The income distribution of 4.75 sen per unit outperformed its benchmark Maybank 12-Month Fixed Deposit return of 2.69% by 206 basis points for the financial year to date up to Sept 24,” it said.

The income for ASM 3, which comes from realised gains, dividends, and other sources from both domestic and international investments, amounted to RM820.32mil this year.

PNB said the computation of the income distribution for ASM 3 is based on the average minimum monthly balance held throughout the fund's financial year.

The distribution declared by ASM 3 will be automatically re-invested as additional units into unitholders’ accounts on Oct 1.
