KUALA LUMPUR: A fire broke out at the Press Metal
Aluminium Holdings Bhd Phase 3 smelter in Samalaju Industrial Park shortly after 11pm last night, but has since been extinguished, said the company.
It said the smelter, which is 80%-owned by its subsidiary Press Metal Bintulu Sdn Bhd, affected 100 pots out of the 300 pots in Phase 3 at the Samalaju smelter, while Phases 1 and 2 remained unaffected.
