WCT bags RM214mil contract


PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd has accepted a letter of award from Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd for infrastructure works worth RM214mil at the Kwasa Damansara Township Development, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, WCT said the contract pertains to the proposed construction and completion of common infrastructure works (Phase 1) and new vehicular underpass at the Kwasa Damansara Township Develop-ment.

“It encompasses, among others, site clearance, demolition works, earthworks, geotechnical works, road works, bridge structure, vehicular underpass structure, drainage works, water reticulation, sewerage works, mechanical and electrical works, river improvement and routine maintenance works.”

The works are expected to be completed within 30 months from Aug 1, the date of possession.

WCT said none of its directors or major shareholders or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the award of the contract.
