M & A Value Partners launches M&A Value Partners IPO Equity Fund

KUALA LUMPUR: M & A Value Partners Asset Management Malaysia Sdn Bhd has launched the M&A Value Partners IPO Equity Fund.

In a statement, M & A said the fund is designed to provide capital appreciation by investing in equities and equity-related securities of Malaysian companies at pre-IPO, IPO, and post-IPO stages.

As the first IPO wholesale fund in the market, it targets securities with potential catalysts for re-rating over the short to medium term through various corporate actions.

The fund aims to cater to sophisticated investors with medium-to-high risk tolerance seeking capital gains.

"We are excited to introduce this new fund, which reflects our commitment to providing innovative and high-growth investment opportunities to wider investment audience. The wholesale fund is truly a first in Malaysia, an IPO-focused fund with performance fee embedded,” CEO Sean Yap Shon Leong said.

M & A said the fund aims to deliver an absolute return of more than 8% per annum, providing a compelling value proposition for investors seeking both growth and stability.

The fund has a concentrated portfolio strategy, holding no more than 20 stocks at any time, to maximise return contributions from each investment and ensure every investment counts without being overly diversified.

It also has a unique feature which allows up to 20% asset allocation in unlisted securities for pre-IPO opportunities to maximise returns
