NTT DATA on course to delist GHL

PETALING JAYA: NTT DATA Japan Corp now holds 92.71% of shares in GHL Systems Bhd following the tabling of its unconditional mandatory takeover offer for the payment solutions provider.

As of July 4, the stake allows for GHL to be delisted from Bursa Malaysia while the offer will remain open for acceptances until 5pm on July 9, GHL stated in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In a statement yesterday, CIMB Investment Bank noted NTT DATA does not intend to maintain the listing status of GHL on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.

NTT Data became the controlling shareholder in GHL in late May after buying a 58.73% stake for RM724.08mil or RM1.08 per share from UK private equity firm Actis and Apis Partners, as well as 10.11% from GHL’s current vice-chairman Loh Wee Hian.
