KUALA LUMPUR: The Real Estate And Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) Malaysia has named Datuk Ho Hon Sang of Equatorial Palms Sdn Bhd as its new president following the completion of Datuk NK Tong’s two-year term.

Rehda, in a statement, said Tong, who held the position since July 2022, had also served as the acting president for about six months prior to his appointment and was actively involved in engagements with industry players.

“Tongh has set the bar very high, and I am aware of the challenges that await me as the new Rehda president. But I am confident that with the guidance from Tong and the past presidents, as well as the support of the other national council members and Rehda members at large, I will be able to continue the legacy to our achievements as a Responsive, Respected, Responsible and Relevant NGO,” Ho said.

Taking over Ho’s previous post as deputy president is Rehda Selangor’s chairperson, Datuk Zaini Yusoff of I&P Group Sdn Bhd (S P Setia Bhd).
