Ann Joo consortium bags RM297.9mil ECRL electrification contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Ann Joo Resources Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Ann Joo Metal Sdn Bhd in consortium with Indonesia's PT Lumintu Insan Mandiri has secured the design and build project for electrification of East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) feeder stations.

It said the contract includes the 132kV switching station, overhead transmission line, underground cable installation and associated works

The contract, received from Tenaga Nasional Bhd unit Tenaga Switchgear Sdn Bhd, is valued at RM297.9mil, said Ann Joo in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The feeder stations named in the contract are FS03-Sg Tong, FS04-Merchang and FS05-Kemasek in Terengganu, as well as FS07-Gambang and FS08-Maran in Pahang.

"The ECRL electrification project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of Ann Joo Group for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2024, and Dec 31, 2025," it said.
