Dapat Vista told to empty out e-Jamin funds

PETALING JAYA: In light of the Federal Court’s decision to cease usage of the e-Jamin system, Pertama Digital Bhd says it has received a directive to transfer all e-Jamin funds to the Main Receiving Account of the Prime Minister’s Department.

The directive was received through Pertama Digital’s subsidiary Dapat Vista (M) Sdn Bhd, from the chief registrar of the Federal Court (Dept of Justice or DOJ), mandating the transfer of all e-Jamin funds and accrued interest.

The details of the DOJ letter include the transfer of all current bail funds to the Prime Minister’s Consolidated Fund as of May 19, 2024 and the transfer of all accrued interest generated from the Collection Account to the Prime Minister’s Consolidated Fund.

It also mandated the cessation of the e-Jamin system and a reversion to conventional bail processes effective May 19.

However, Pertama Digital revealed that Dapat Vista is working towards obtaining the approval from the relevant regulatory authorities to continue providing services via e-Jamin moving forward.
