KUALA LUMPUR: ITMax System Bhd, via its subsidiary Southmax Sdn Bhd, and JLand Group Sdn Bhd (JLG), the real estate arm of Johor Corp (JCorp), have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The MoU aims to explore business partnership opportunities in developing and deploying smart city and integrated facilities management solutions for township and industrial park developments. This includes projects undertaken by the JLG group.
“We are delighted to explore a potential partnership with JLG to deliver the benefits of machine learning, AI and smart city solutions and making these easily accessible and beneficial to all Malaysians.
“Our initial conversations point towards a commercially viable collaboration that provides sustainable smart city solutions, ensuring an inclusive digitalisation transition and value-added functionalities to all stakeholders in the relevant communities,” managing director/CEO William Tan Wei Lun said in a statement.
Meanwhile, JCorp real estate & infrastructure division director and JLG deputy chairman Datuk Sr. Akmal Ahmad said this partnership will explore business opportunities in smart townships, park and facilities management, and innovative technologies for sustainable urban development.
“By joining forces, we aim to unlock new avenues for progress, where cutting-edge solutions seamlessly integrate with eco-friendly practices, ultimately shaping the cities of tomorrow.
“Furthermore, this collaboration will significantly improve user experiences, guaranteeing that both residents and businesses within our developments benefit from environments that are not only more efficient but also highly responsive to their needs,” he added.
