Sulaiman Mohd Tahir appointed Bank Pembangunan chairman


KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd has appointed Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir as its new chairman and independent non-executive director from March 20, 2024.

In a statement, the bank said Sulaiman brings with him a wealth of senior leadership experiences spanning more than three decades in the Malaysian financial landscape, including his recent tenure as group CEO at AmBank Group.

“Bank Pembangunan plays a pivotal role in national development over the last 50 years. I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve such a great institution and to be able to contribute to this country,” said Sulaiman.

Roni Abdulwahab, group CEO of Bank Pembangunan, said: "On behalf of the management, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to Datuk Sulaiman.
