Epicon wins RM89mil Perak building contract

PETALING JAYA: Epicon Bhd has secured a contract worth RM89.1mil for a housing project in Sungai Terap in Kinta, Perak, via its wholly owned subsidiary, Transnational Builder Sdn Bhd, effectively raising the group’s outstanding order book to RM929mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company, formerly known as Konsortium Transnasional Bhd, said the letter of award from Syarikat Majuperak Bhd was for the main building works of 601 units of single-storey terrace houses and four units of electrical substations under a Rumah Perakku development.

“Upon the awarding of this new contract, the company’s total outstanding order book has risen to RM929mil from the previously stated RM840mil in the announcement made on March 18, 2024,” Epicon said.

The company disclosed that the contract was for a period of 30 months commencing on March 27 this year. It is scheduled for completion on Sept 26, 2026.

“The contract will not have any effect on the issued share capital of Epicon and on the substantial shareholder’s shareholdings of Epicon,” the group said.
