Binasat wins RM58.3mil contract from TNB


KUALA LUMPUR: Binasat Communications Bhd has secured a contract worth RM58.26mil from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) for the proposed double-circuit underground cable.

Binasat said in a Bursa filing that Borderless Connection Sdn Bhd (BCSB), a 51%-owned subsidiary of Binasat in consortium with Binalite Electrical Engineering Sdn Bhd (BEESB) received the letter of acceptance from TNB.

BCSB's scope of works for the contract includes the supply and installation of a new 132kV XLPE cable system rated for 180MVA from PMU Titiwangsa to PMU Genting Kelang and PMU Genting Kelang to PMU Kampung Lanjut.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Binasat Group throughout the contract.
