MN Holdings appoints Baharin Din as chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: MN Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Seri Ir. Baharin Din as its independent non-executive chairman, effective today.

Baharin was the former chief executive officer (CEO) of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) from March 2021 to February 2024.

With extensive experience in the energy sector spanning over 35 years, he had led TNB with businesses across the value chain – generation, transmission, distribution, and retail.

Baharin holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Syracuse and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Bond University, Sydney/ UNITEN, Malaysia.

Managing director Datuk Clement Toh said the appointment of Baharin will immensely contribute to the group in providing guidance to MN Holdings to further expand its business in the power and utility sector.

“Baharin’s proven track record, strategic leadership and vast experience in the energy sector, I am certain that he will help guide MN Group in its next phase of growth towards energy transition,”he added.

MN Holdings’ order book stands at RM407.9mil as at March 15. These secured contracts are expected to positively impact the group's earnings over the next two to three financial years, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
