Hong Leong AM shines at 2024 LSEG Lipper Awards

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Asset Management Bhd (Hong Leong AM) maintains its successful run with its Islamic funds at the 2024 LSEG Lipper Fund Awards.

In a statement, Hong Leong AM said two of its EPF-Members Investment Scheme (MIS) approved Islamic funds - Hong Leong Dana Makmur and Hong Leong Dana Maa’rof, have maintained their accolades in various categories and collectively bagged five individual fund awards

Executive director/chief executive officer Hoo See Kheng said the recognition served as a testimony and affirmation of its investment team’s investment philosophy and strategies.

“While the global recession and high inflation was anticipated in 2023, Hong Leong AM’s focus on staying invested in high-quality companies; coupled with our experience and knowledge of the local stock market, has helped us endured macro challenges and enabled us to continuously drive long-term, sustainable and risk-adjusted returns for our investors.

“At present, even though inflation appears to be more manageable and stable, Hong Leong AM will remain vigilant and prepared for any situation that may emerge. With close monitoring, we are confident of our capability to manage any possible adverse economic spill over effects from the ongoing geopolitical developments,” Hoo said.

The five awards received by Hong Leong AM for the period ended 31 December 2023 are:

Hong Leong Dana Makmur

  • Best Equity Malaysia – Malaysia Islamic Fund Over 10 Years (3rd consecutive year)

Hong Leong Dana Maa’rof

  • Best Mixed Asset MYR Balanced – Malaysia Provident Fund Over 5 Years (3rd consecutive year)
  • Best Mixed Asset MYR Balanced – Malaysia Provident Fund Over 10 Years
  • Best Mixed Asset MYR Balanced – Malaysia Islamic Fund Over 5 Years (3rd consecutive year)
  • Best Mixed Asset MYR Balanced – Malaysia Islamic Fund Over 10 Years
