PETALING JAYA: Township development Gamuda Cove has confirmed openings by a diverse array of tenants spanning food and beverage (F&B), education and convenience sectors for its current and future township projects.

Gamuda Cove general manager Brandon Yong said as the township development progresses, it is timely for the company to bring in various tenants and partnerships that will strengthen the township and support a self-sustained community.

“We believe that when we get the places right, the town will work for the people who call it home and we are working towards achieving this for our community.

“This involves not only designing homes but also considering recreational, educational, health and wellness, green, and commercial spaces,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Gamuda Cove said confirmed F&B tenants include Kenangan Coffee, which will open in May and fast-food restaurant Long John Silver’s slated to open in July.

The company said Long John Silver’s will make its return to Malaysia, expanding its presence in Gamuda Cove and joining the already operational Starbucks drive-through.

With regards to education, Gamuda Cove said Big Apple Kindergarten is poised to open its doors in the township in April.

Moreover, Technical and Vocational Education and Training Malaysia will inaugurate its hospitality training centre in May, offering students an opportunity to learn while engaging in hands-on practical training.

Yong added that the company is also in talks with other F&B operators, including well-known and beloved brands, alongside the addition of a leading Malaysian premium supermarket chain as a key anchor tenant for its upcoming commercial development.

“These additions will further enhance Gamuda Cove’s offerings and amenities, as our master plan comes together nicely,” Yong said.

Gamuda Cove said the addition of the new tenants complement the recently announced ASAI Gamuda Cove hotel, slated to open in 2026.

Furthermore, the introduction of the tenants coincides perfectly with the delivery of the Maya Bay Residences and Enso Woods homes in March and July, respectively. Upon vacant possession, Gamuda Cove will have delivered over 1,900 units of homes to customers, welcoming an anticipated 7,600 residents to the Gamuda Cove community by end of 2024.
