Titijaya appoints former KL mayor as chairman

Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah

KUALA LUMPUR: Titijaya Land Bhd has appointed former Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah on Feb 23, 2024 as the new chairman of the board.

He will be replacing Tengku Datuk Seri Uzir Ubaidillah, who retired as independent non-executive chairman at the end of his one-year term on Nov 28, 2023.

Mahadi graduated with a Bachelor in Urban and Regional Planning (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1983 and later obtained a Masters in Urban Development from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 1990.

“With 40 years of experience in this industry, Mahadi has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our company and the broader marketplace. His strategic vision and leadership acumen will be instrumental in guiding Titijaya through its next phase of growth and innovation,” Titijaya said in a statement.

Mahadi is currently the vice chairman of Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan and also a board member of MRT Lingkaran Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) appointed to deliver a fully commissioned MRT Circle Line (MRT3) project.
