KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit strengthened against the US dollar on Tuesday as assurances from the government and Bank Negara Malaysia regarding the ringgit's valuation calmed market concerns.
At 6 pm, the ringgit/US dollar exchange rate stood at 4.7585/7635 compared with 4.7750/7795 recorded at yesterday’s close.
