Shangri-La Hotels Malaysia managing director to resign


KUALA LUMPUR: Shangri-La Hotels Malaysia Bhd managing director Chan Kong Leong will be resigning effective March 31, 2024.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the hotel operator said Chan has also informed the board that he will be resigning from the board the same day.

"The board would like to record its thanks and appreciation to Chan for his valued contribution to the group and wishes him all the very best for the future,” it said.

The company is in the process of putting in place an effective and orderly leadership succession plan, the filing said.

Chan joined the Shangri-La Hotels board on May 18, 2022 as a non-independent non executive director and was redesignated as managing director on June 30, 2022. - Bernama
