Supermax announces changes to senior management team


KUALA LUMPUR: Supermax Corp Bhd has made changes to its senior management team, including appointing Tan Chee Keong as the senior executive director and CEO of the group, the company said in a statement.

Tan will also remain the CEO of Supermax Healthcare Inc and Maxter Healthcare Inc in the US.

Meanwhile, Tan Bow Kok will be appointed the new chief operation officer, overseeing the manufacturing operations of Supermax group, and will be assisted by a new deputy chief operating officer.

The glove maker added it will appoint a new chief quality assurance and regulatory affairs officer to ensure that quality assurance and global manufacturing operations are synergised for smoother marketing efforts moving forward.

Additionally, there will be four new independent non-executive directors coming on to the company's board, namely Gan Kim Khoon, Shelley Wong Phait Lee, Yap Lang Ling and Yip Kit Weng.

Founder and executive chairman Datuk Seri Stanley Thai said Supermax is poised to achieve operational excellence as well as accelerate its ESG and sustainability initiatives.

All the appointments will take effect on Jan 2, 2024.

"The key management team comprises individuals with longstanding commitment, having made significant contributions to the group’s success, and possessing a strong core understanding and foundation of its international business and operations.

"They are well-versed in strategic management of the Company in the globally competitive industry," he added.
