Kinergy secures RM31mil contract from Mah Sing

“This contract will not only fortify our existing order book with a long-term client but also further solidify our partnership with Mah Sing," says Lai.

PETALING JAYA: Kinergy Advancement Bhd (KAB) has been awarded a RM31.04mil contract for electrical works at Mah Sing Group Bhd’s multi-storey M Nova project, a residential development in Kepong.

The contract was issued by Mah Sing’s subsidiary, Myvilla Development Sdn Bhd, through a letter of award to KAB.

The contract will enable KAB to become the subcontractor for electrical, telephone and extra low-voltage works for three blocks of serviced apartments.

The project will have a total of 2,080 units to be built in two phases, with the first phase consisting of tower A and tower B with 624 units, respectively, on top of seven floors of car park facilities, and other amenities and a second phase in the form of tower C with the remaining 832 residential units and a retail podium at the lower levels

Chairman and managing director Datuk Lai Keng Onn said this will mark KAB’s 13th project for property giant Mah Sing and reinforces its expertise as a one-stop energy and engineering solutions provider.

“This contract will not only fortify our existing order book with a long-term client but also further solidify our partnership with Mah Sing.

“It demonstrates the trust and confidence that Mah Sing has in our capabilities and expertise,” Lai said.

Lai added both KAB and Mah Sing’s commitment to sustainable development, responsible business, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices will be evident through this development.

“This shared commitment will enable us to collaborate effectively in creating projects that not only meet the highest standards of quality but also contribute positively to the effort of creating a sustainable and ESG-conscious ecosystem,” Lai said.

Lai also said because KAB is the vendor for the development, Mah Sing will incorporate KAB’s carbon footprint data which in turn contributes directly to Mah Sing’s own decarbonisation of its supply chain.

“Both companies, which have a competent track record in the construction and property segment, have been actively making strides in the area of sustainability.

“This comes with Mah Sing’s own ESG commitment – which includes its own supply chain sustainability improvement programme – and KAB with its successful transformation into a sustainable energy solution provider, with proactive ESG and sustainability strategies.”
