LONDON: Economic stagnation, lasting 15 years, has left the typical United Kingdom household £8,300 (US$10,550) poorer than peers in countries like France and Germany, according to a major report on the state of the nation.
The finding from the Resolution Foundation and the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics (LSE) accompanied proposals to shake the United Kingdom out of its economic malaise by boosting growth, raising living standards and cutting inequality.
