Boustead Plantations, KLK securities trading halt

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has approved Boustead Plantations Bhd’s request for suspension in the trading of the company’s ordinary shares with effect today.

"Bursa Securities has approved the company’s request for suspension in the trading of the ordinary shares in Boustead with effect from 9 am to 5 pm on Oct 3, pending the release of a material announcement,” Boustead Plantations said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Yesterday, Bursa Malaysia suspended the short selling of Boustead Plantations securities for the rest of the day under the intraday short selling.

The suspension was made after the last transaction price of the group’s approved securities dropped more than 15 per cent from the reference price.

Meanwhile, in another filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK) said trading in its securities has been suspended with effect from 9.02 am today, pending an announcement by Boustead Plantations.

"Accordingly, trading in structured warrants relating to KLK has also been suspended at the same time,” it said.
