PETALING JAYA: The labour market is expected to remain robust for the rest of the year with the average unemployment rate projected at 3.5%, according to Kenanga Research.
“Despite the impact of the global economic slowdown brought on by China’s fragile recovery, a higher interest rate environment and slower-than-expected domestic gross domestic product growth for the second quarter, the labour market continues to improve month-on-month (m-o-m).
