Manufacturing sector sales up 2.5% y-o-y to RM1.03 trillion for Jan-July 2023


KUALA LUMPUR: The sales value of the manufacturing sector rose 2.5 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM1.03 trillion for the first seven months of 2023, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said.

During this period, the number of employees rose to 2.34 million, or by 1.7 per cent, while salaries and wages grew by 3.8 per cent to RM56.6 billion.
