PETALING JAYA: The dark clouds forming on the global economic horizon indicate Bank Negara’s monetary policy objective will have a pro-growth bias as gross domestic product (GDP) growth and inflation moderates in the second half of 2023 (2H23).
Economists think this will be articulated by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) statement due this week with flags raised about the faltering economic recovery in China and weaker demand out of developed markets.
