Sunview secures 59.98 MW quota under CGPP


PETALING JAYA: Sunview Group Bhd has secured a quota totalling 59.98 megawatts (MW) under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP), an initiative by the Energy Commission (EC).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the renewable energy player said its subsidiary, Solarcity REIT Sdn Bhd, has been allocated an export capacity of 29.99 MW, which is the maximum quantum assigned to a solar power producer.

“Meanwhile, through a consortium with JAKS Solar Power Sdn Bhd and Ann Joo Green Energy Sdn Bhd, (subsidiary) Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd has also been allocated with an export capacity of 29.99 MW.

“The EC revealed that of the 71 applicants to be solar power producers, 22 were selected with a combined allocated export capacity of 563.42 MW.”

The CGPP will be in commercial operations in 2025.
