Westports eyes single-digit growth

For the second quarter ended June 30, 2023, Westports’ net profit rose to RM194.76mil from RM162.29mil a year ago, mainly due to the reduction in fuel cost.

PETALING JAYA: Westports Holdings Bhd expects its container throughput volume in 2023 to be in the single-digit growth range compared with the previous year.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the port operator said the guidance would be revised accordingly when material developments sufficiently affect the company’s expected volume trajectory.
