Carsome appoints Yeoh to its board

SINGAPORE: Carsome Group Inc has appointed former Pricewaterhouse-Coopers Singapore chairman Yeoh Oon Jin to the board as its first independent director, effective June 30, 2023.

Yeoh also commenced as chairman of the group’s audit committee as of the same date.

In a statement, the South-East Asia’s largest integrated car eCommerce platform said Yeoh brought to the table a wealth of experience and knowledge in corporate governance, risk management, organisational strategy, people and culture, and digital transformation.

“His guidance will be pivotal as Carsome grows into the next phase of maturity and builds an effective and independent board. “Driven by its mission to deliver excellent customer experience within the used car industry, Carsome is working towards establishing the world’s first integrated car ownership ecosystem in South-East Asia, whilst embracing long-term sustainability through operational excellence,” it added.
