KUALA LUMPUR: Investors could have their sights on stocks with recent corporate announcements including Boustead Plantations, Hextar Technologies, Sports Toto, Dayang, Kerjaya Prospek, Coastal Contracts, Uchi Technologies, Star Media and Wah Seong, said Apex Research.

Boustead Plantations Bhd’s 1Q23 net profit tumbled 98.8% to RM5.22 million.

Hextar Technologies Solutions Bhdposted a net loss of RM884,000 in 4QFY2023, Sports Toto Bhd’s 3QFY23 net profit tumbled 70.8% to RM23.22 million.

Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd fell into the red in 1Q23 with a net loss of RM15.95 million.

Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd reported a RM29.41 million net profit in 1Q23.

Coastal Contracts Bhd’s 3QFY23 net profit jumped more than threefold to RM153.66 million.

Uchi Technologies Bhd’s net profit rose 41.2% to RM37.80 million in 1Q23.

Star Media Group Bhd’s 1Q23 net profit dropped 54.86% to RM1.14 million.

Wah Seong Corp Bhd’s 1Q23 net profit jumped by more than fourfold to RM21.76 million.

Overnight, the US market declined amid the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations between President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Similarly, European markets ended lower as investors monitor the U.S. debt ceiling talks.
