Maybank appoints new group COO


PETALING JAYA: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has appointed Alan Lau Chee Kheong as group chief operations officer (COO), effective April 1, 2023.

The bank said Lau will be reporting to the group president and chief executive officer, Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli.

“Lau is currently the group chief compliance officer and in his new role, he is expected to oversee end-to-end industrialisation of transactional operation functions such as trade, credit and treasury, with focus in customer experience and interaction which critically supports key Strategic Programmes in the M25+ purpose,” Maybank said in a statement. —Bernama
