T7 Global appoints Rahim Ismail to board of directors


KUALA LUMPUR: T7 Global Bhd has appointed Datuk Seri Rahim Ismail as independent non-executive director, effective March 1, 2023.

In a statement, the energy solutions provider said Rahim has nearly four decades of experience in the oil and gas industry.

"We would like to welcome Datuk Seri Rahim Ismail on board with us as we believe that he is a great addition to our team.

"Given his vast experience and knowledge in the oil and gas industry, we are confident that he will be able to enrich our board’s composition providing us with an experienced oversight over our business strategies as well as future endeavours,” said group chairman Datuk Seri Nik Norzrul Thani Hassan Thani.

Rahim was previously the senior advisor and a member of the extended leadership team at Repsol Oil and Gas Malaysia Ltd (previously known as Talisman Energy, a Multinational Oil and Gas company).

He also served for 27 years in Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS), where he held multiple managerial and leadership roles.

According to the statement, Rahim played an instrumental role in representing the industry to chart strategies and policies through various Government initiatives under the Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister's Department and Ministry of Finance.
