Fitch Solutions retains forecast of Malaysia's GDP growth at 4% in 2023


KUALA LUMPUR: Fitch Solutions Country Risk and Industry Research (Fitch Solutions) has reiterated its forecast for Malaysia’s real gross domestic product (GDP) growth to slow to 4.0 per cent in 2023 from 8.7 per cent last year.

It said that following the lower year-on-year growth of 7.0 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2022 against 14.2 per cent in the third quarter, economic growth would slow further over the coming quarters.
