KUALA LUMPUR: The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) has urged the government to consider alternative policy measures following the recent announcement of a drastic increase in the electricity tariff surcharge for medium (MV) and high voltage (HV) users.
In a statement today, president Tan Sri Soh Thian Lai said the government could implement a phased and gradual increase in the electricity tariff surcharge as an alternative policy to allow industries and businesses to adjust and plan their operations and investments.
