Security and trust will become vital

5G is a growth area but Malaysia is still sticking to one 5G network when globally almost all countries have two or three to cater to a digitalised economy.

HIGHER data usage, 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, evolution of Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality and metaverse will be more prominent in 2023 but security and trust will become more important than ever.

This is so since billions of smart devices are connected to the Internet and hundreds of millions of transactions are done daily.
