Mohammed Che Hussein to retire as Gamuda chairman

PETALING JAYA: Gamuda Bhd has announced the retirement of chairman Datuk Mohammed Che Hussein, effective Dec 8.

Mohammed, 72, has a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting and has been on the company’s board as chairman since 2013.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Gamuda said Mohammed was with Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) group for 31 years.

“The last position held before he retired from the Maybank group on Jan 31, 2008 was deputy president/ executive director/ chief financial officer,” said Gamuda.
