Carlsberg to pilot-test glass bottle recycling initiative

PETALING JAYA: Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd is collaborating with Sabah Recycling Association (Ripple) to pilot-test a three-year glass bottle recycling and community empowerment programme named CarlsBot.

Driven by its environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda, Carlsberg will co-create a glass bottle ecosystem with Ripple to recycle its non-returnable glass bottles in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, by empowering local communities to tackle waste and generate income at the same time.
