Maxis appoints Jennifer Wong as CFO effective Oct 3

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd has appointed Jennifer Wong as chief financial officer (CFO) effective Oct 3, succeeding Wayne Treeby.

Treeby, Maxis’ current chief financial and strategy officer will be completing his contract of service and will leave Maxis at the end of September 2022 to return to his native Australia to be closer to his family.

In a statement, Maxis said Wong will be joining Maxis from Celcom Axiata Bhd, where she has held various senior positions in the span of over 14 years before her last role there as CFO.

She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in accounting, controllership, financial and operation management, as well as business planning and analysis.

Wong is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Programme, as well as Insead’s General Management Program and Innovation Program.

She is also a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (Malaysia) and Malaysia Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
