PROPERTY developer LBS Bina Group Bhd has bagged the award for “Most Indoor Showhouse Units in a Sales Gallery in Malaysia” with 13 indoor showhouses in their sales gallery at Cybersouth.
The certificate presentation was officiated by Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican. Also present during the event was Malaysia Book of Records chief operating officer Christopher Wong and LBS Bina Group Bhd executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Hock San.
The ceremony took place at LBS KITA @ Cybersouth sales gallery on May 27. The Cybersouth sales gallery has a total build-up area of 34,783sqft and houses eight showhouses.
The types of showhouses in the gallery include KITA Mekar’s double storey terrace house, townhouse (both lower and upper units), single storey terrace house, KITA Ria’s apartments (Type A and B), Idaman BSP and KITA Sejati.
Meanwhile, the LBS Alam Perdana sales gallery with its 18,273sqft houses five other showhouses, namely the Ritma Perdana Townhouse (upper and lower floors), double-storey house, Melodi Perdana and Idaman Perdana.
“Housing various types of showhouse units in a single sales gallery has always been a customer-focused decision on our part,” said Lim.
“There’s almost no difference between the actual units and the showhouses – they’ve even been equipped with furniture and amenities to give prospective homeowners a glimpse into what their dream home can look like.
“House hunting can be a daunting and tiring process for homebuyers, so being the ‘people’s developer’, we want to focus on the service we provide, as well as the quality of our products,” he added.
“LBS will continue in this direction for future sales galleries, as it’s also in line with our goal of efficiency and sustainability.”
Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican conferred his congratulations during the event.
“Not only is this a prestigious award to receive from the Malaysia Book of Records, LBS’ efforts have also contributed to providing Malaysians with affordable housing,” he said.
“As we continue to push the affordable housing agenda as set by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, LBS is helping towards the vision of a ‘Liveable Malaysia’ – one home for one family.
“We’re going for an integrationist approach whereby the central government, local governments and the private sector will collaborate to offer affordable housing to Malaysians.
“The Ministry of Housing and Local Government’s focuses on a ‘5K’ concept, namely availability, affordability, financing facilities, quality and liveable housing units,” he added.
He noted that affordability should be graded according to an adjustable index.
“Affordable for Kuala Lumpur may not mean affordable for Kinabatangan, for example,” he explained.
“There’s no one size fits all solution to solve housing affordability. And this relates to how easy it is to get financing for a home.
“Enabling opportunities for the younger generation to become homeowners helps them raise their net worth too and raise their net disposable income. This is one reason why the government credit guarantee agency Syarikat Jaminan Kredit Perumahan Bhd (SJKP) was established to help first-time homeowners,” he said.
He added that residential developments like KITA become mainstream in offering high accessibility and plenty of facilities for the quality of life of residents.
The developer had previously received the award for “Most Number of Facilities in a Residential Development” in the country with 103 total facilities for their BSP21 project.
