Uzma secures RM101.8mil contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Uzma Bhd has secured an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract worth RM101.82mil from Nextenaga Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nexuscorpgroup Sdn Bhd.

The oil and gas service company, in a Bursa filing, said its related company Uzma Nexus Sdn Bhd (UNSB) secured the contract from Nextenaga.

Uzma said UNSB has appointed Suria Infiniti Sdn Bhd, another Uzma-related company, to undertake the works.

It said the contract is for the provision of EPCC for the development of a 29.99MWac large scale solar photovoltaic plant project in Bestari Jaya, Selangor.

The job involves the EPCC of 29.99MWac and all associated works, including site preparation with civil and structural, architectural, DC solar system, solar mounting structures, security system, control building and securing all authorities’ requirements and compliance.

Uzma said UNSB shall complete and handover the works to Nextenaga by Dec 31, 2022 for the initial operation date and commercial operation date by March 9, 2023.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2022 and onwards until the expiry of the contract,” Uzma said.
