Megat Zaharuddin resigns as Sapura Energy director


KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Energy Bhd’s independent and non-executive director Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor has resigned from his post.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the integrated oil and gas services provider said Megat, 73, is stepping down to pursue other interests.

Megat will also cease to be the chairman of Sapura Energy’s nomination and remuneration committee on May 7.

On April 29, Sapura Energy announced the appointment of Datuk Mohammad Azlan Abdullah as its new chairman, effective May 7.
