Bintai Kinden undertakes RM2.62mil contract to replace transformer at Petronas Twin Towers


KUALA LUMPUR: Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary kejuruteraan Bintai Kidenko Sdn Bhd has secured a contract from KLCC Urusharta Sdn Bhd to undertake the replacement of a transformer at Tower 2 Petronas Twin Towers.

The group said in a statement that the contract, valued at RM2.62mil, encompasses supplying and replacing the existing 33kV/11kV transformer with a new Transformer, including modification of civil works of existing transformer room and relocation of M&E work along the route to deliver the new transformer.

The contract is expected to be completed by April 15, 2023.

"“We are delighted and honoured to be able to secure contract awards continuously since early March.

"The contract from KLCCH fundamentally add on to Bintai Kinden’s credentials and reinforcing our track record in the M&E sector," said Bintai Kinden executive director Azri Azerai.

Inclusive of the contract, Bintai Kinden has increased its outstanding order book to about RM173.5mil.
