VinFast to build US$2bil EV factory in US


HANOI: Vietnam’s automaker VinFast said on Tuesday it has signed a preliminary deal to initially invest US$2bil (RM8.41bil) to build a factory in North Carolina to make electric buses, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) along with batteries for electric vehicles (EVs).

The unit of Vietnam’s biggest conglomerate Vingroup , said it plans to have a total investment of US$4bil (RM16.83bil) in its first United States factory complex.
