Suspicious transaction reports rise 43% to 191,387 in 2021: Bank Negara


KUALA LUMPUR: The number of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) submitted by reporting institutions increased by 43 per cent to 191,387 in 2021 from the previous year, said Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

In its Annual Report 2021 released today, the central bank said STRs have been increasing by around 30 per cent per annum between 2014 and 2021.
