Meaningful air travel recovery seen in H2


CGS-CIMB Research added that a strong pick-up in travel between Malaysia and other countries will have to wait for further liberalisation measures, as Malaysia’s unilateral move to open its borders is not enough.

PETALING JAYA: The move by the government to reopen borders is positive for the aviation sector but a meaningful recovery in international air travel across the region can only be expected in the second half (H2) of this year.

This is so since many countries have yet to implement similar measures.
