PETALING JAYA: Taliworks Corp Bhd has won a contract to develop a package under phase one of the Sungai Rasau water treatment plant for RM602.43mil from Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group said the contract is to design and build a water pumping station, and water pumping mains to the existing Bukit Lipat Kajang reservoirs, distribution and associated works (package two).
The completion date for the work is slated for Dec 31, 2024 or 36 months from the date of the possession of the site, Taliworks added.
This is the second contract secured by Taliworks for the proposed development of the water treatment plant and water supply scheme (phase one) by Pengurusan Air Selangor.
On Dec 2, the group had received a contract sum of RM294mil for the said project, that involved designing and building the new Bukit Lipat Kajang booster station, reservoirs and associated facilities including civil, structural and building, pumping plant mechanical works, electrical, instrumentation, controls and automation as well as building services.
It was reported that there were nine bidders for the project that was called for tender by Air Selangor in May.
